One thing God will never desire to share is His glory as seen in Isaiah 42:8 which say “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” From the creation of the earth to the present age and age to come, there has not been and will never be any god that can contend with the things God has done and His being. Colossians 1:16–17 confirms that, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” His word is infallible and all the promises therein are being fulfilled according to 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”
Although, the stories of birth, death and resurrection of Christ is told in diverse ways as it pleases other religions, the truth of the occurrence of same is residual in our faith in Him and presented in the Bible. Those central issues are the basis of our faith in Christ because we did not witness the birth, death and resurrection of Christ, but we believe in God and we have allowed Him to reside in our hearts. This belief in the Maker has made us to have inheritance in the things of God as our father as presented in Ephesians 1:11 “In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will . . .”
God’s supremacy is seen in His love in His creation, John 3:16 has been seen as a great sacrifice He has given to mankind. 1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 4:19 says “We love because he first loved us.”
Our God is ever faithful in His promises to ensure our purpose is fulfilled Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”
The supremacy of God was once challenged by lucifer and the result led to being cast away from the presence of God. Jude 1:6 says that, “the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day”. It is therefore a dangerous thing to place glory of God on another thing or person rather than God himself.
There is none like our God and no power can ever contend with Him. The knowledge and fear of the supremacy of God is indeed the beginning of wisdom. It will be a great thing for you to experience the nature of God and his promises to understand the need to only ascribe glory to Him alone.
